Growth-hormone pathway peptides, explained
Several peptides are studied for how they interact with the body's own growth-hormone signalling — the pituitary, the hypothalamus and the hormones that regulate them. This page explains that research context in plain language and lists the peptides discussed in it.

Lo que la gente suele preguntar
People usually arrive here from one of three questions: they have read that growth-hormone levels decline with age and want to understand what that means; they have seen names like sermorelin or ipamorelin and want to know how they differ from growth hormone itself; or a clinician has mentioned a "secretagogue" and they want a plain-language explanation before a conversation.
The short version: these peptides are studied for their effect on the body's own signalling rather than as replacement hormone. That distinction matters for how the research is designed and for what a provider can and cannot responsibly say.

Sermorelin has the longest history: it was FDA-approved for a paediatric diagnostic and treatment use and later withdrawn from the market for commercial reasons, so there is a body of human pharmacology data, but not approval for the questions adults typically ask. CJC-1295 and ipamorelin have human pharmacokinetic and hormone-response studies but no approval for any use. GHRP-2 and GHRP-6 were studied mainly as research tools and diagnostics.
What none of these have is an approved indication for healthy adults, and the long-term safety data in that population is limited. A responsible provider will tell you that before anything else.

Preguntas que vale la pena llevar al profesional
La evaluación es el lugar para las preguntas individuales. Estas suelen hacer que esa conversación sea útil.
- Is there anything in my history — thyroid, pituitary, cancer history, sleep apnoea — that changes whether this pathway is relevant to me?
- What would you want to measure before, and how often after?
- What is known about long-term safety in adults, and what is not?
- What would make you say no?
Qué ocurre si empiezas una evaluación
You leave Vitrex for Doctor G Medical's secure portal, complete a confidential intake (about 10 minutes, free), and a licensed provider reviews it. If growth-hormone-pathway questions are relevant to your history, the provider may discuss options; if not — or if your state restricts them — they say so. Nothing is charged before a written quote.
Preguntas frecuentes
Are these the same as growth hormone?
No. Growth hormone (somatropin) is the hormone itself and is a prescription drug with specific approved uses. The peptides on this page are studied for how they affect the body's own release of growth hormone. They are different molecules with different research histories.
Is sermorelin FDA approved?
Sermorelin was approved for a specific paediatric use and was later discontinued by the manufacturer. It is not approved for adult wellness or anti-ageing purposes. Any use today is off-label and is a provider's decision.
Can I read about dosing here?
No. Vitrex does not publish dosing, schedules or protocols for any peptide. Those decisions belong with a provider who knows your history.
