TB-500 · Wound-healing research context

A thymosin beta-4 fragment discussed in tissue-repair research — almost entirely preclinical.

Revisado clinicamente por Bernard Garcia, MD

O que é

TB-500 is a synthetic fragment of thymosin beta-4, a naturally occurring protein involved in cell migration and actin regulation. It is discussed in wound-healing, cardiac and soft-tissue research and is frequently paired with BPC-157 in online discussion.

Most published work is in cells and animals. Full-length thymosin beta-4 has reached small human trials for specific indications; TB-500 as sold online is a different, unregulated product.

Como funciona

Research describes effects on cell migration, blood-vessel formation and inflammation signalling in laboratory models. These are proposed mechanisms in animals and tissue, not demonstrated effects in people.

Situação da pesquisa

Área de pesquisa Situação
Soft-tissue and wound repair Preclinical (animal models)
Cardiac tissue research Preclinical · early human for full-length Tβ4
Human clinical trials of TB-500 None published
Regulatory status (US FDA) Not an FDA-approved drug · WADA-prohibited

Perguntas frequentes

Is TB-500 the same as thymosin beta-4?

No. TB-500 is a synthetic fragment; thymosin beta-4 is the full protein. Studies of one do not automatically apply to the other.

Is it banned in sport?

Yes — it appears on the WADA prohibited list. If you compete in a tested sport, that is decisive.

Why is it always mentioned with BPC-157?

Both are discussed in soft-tissue research and marketed together online. Our comparison page walks through the published context for each without treating either as a treatment.
