Hyaluronic acid · Fillers, joint injections, creams — three different things
One molecule, three regulatory categories.
Qué es
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring sugar polymer found in skin, joints and connective tissue. As dermal fillers and knee-injection products it is regulated as an FDA-approved medical device; as a skincare ingredient it is a cosmetic; as an oral supplement it is unregulated.
Cómo funciona
Fillers add volume physically; joint injections aim to improve lubrication, with modest and debated evidence; topical HA hydrates the surface of the skin. Oral supplements have limited evidence.

Dermal fillers and viscosupplement injections are FDA-approved devices administered by licensed practitioners. Topical products are cosmetics. This is a general note, not legal advice.
Preguntas frecuentes
Is it a peptide?
No — a polysaccharide. Listed because it appears in skin and regenerative conversations alongside peptides.
Are fillers safe?
They are approved devices with known risks in trained hands. Vitrex does not provide them.
Does the cream do what the injection does?
No. Topical HA hydrates the surface; it does not add volume.
